Brookfield ~1964

This photo was taken ~ the 1960s. It was shared with me by one of Captain Job Kean Sr.'s descendants quite a few years ago.
- I don't know who the little girl is in the boat- if you do, please let me know! She would have been born in the 1950s most likely.
- The house in the background belonged to Captain Charlie Kean, son of Job & Virtue
- The partial house in the background to the right is my house behind Norton's Cove Studio (not shown), at that time the home of Charlie's brother Baxter Wesley Kean.
- Look at how different the road looks- the current road is built high up on blasted rocks and gravel, changing the landscape quite a bit.
- There doesn't appear to be a single tree anywhere, and so this picture can be estimated to be dated after the big fire of 1961, but before Come Home Year in 1966, as I was told that the old house on the side of Baxter's place was cut down to one floor (its current layout) around the same time as Come Home Year.
- At this time, Norton's Cove was already established as Brookfield, and paired with the municipality of Wesleyville.
