Norton's Cove Marine is a small company based in New-Wes-Valley on the Northeast coast of Newfoundland.  We currently offer, at competitive pricing:

  • Marine surveys for any type of commercial vessels
  • Marine surveys for pleasure crafts
  • Marine insurance claim reports
  • Marine related administrative documentation (help with Transport Canada required forms and applications, Bill of Sale for a vessel, etc.)
  • Vessel measurements

Captain Bruce Davis started the company as Davis Shipping Limited in 1989. Bruce has worldwide experience in the shipping industry as well as an intimate knowledge of the coasts of Newfoundland & Labrador. He has sailed on many vessels during his long career, gaining in-depth experience with all facets of ships at sea. Bruce remains the President and Owner of the company as well as our #1 Consultant. 

Janet Davis started working with Davis Shipping in 2007 as Managing Director, but has also worked with the company aboard the MV Cape Mugford in 1994-1995, gaining at sea experience on the coast of NL as well as the arctic. Janet takes care of the accounting and report writing for the company currently. 

Fred Kelloway is a surveyor gaining experience while studying to be a Marine Engineering Systems Designer at Memorial University's Marine Institute. 

Duke Kelloway has experience in boatbuilding and fishing as well as tug & barge operations. He is a surveyor and our logistics guy who helps with many tasks including scheduling our travel to all parts of this beautiful province!  Duke is a graduate of Lloyd's Maritime Academy.

In 2024 we became Marine Agents acting on behalf of RJG Construction Ltd. to look after their fleet of tugboats and barges.  If you'd like to talk to us about the marine side of RJG Construction, please send us an email at marine@rjgconstruction.com
