BBARS Art & Science Residency

Another morning, another big coffee, and a ride in the Whaly boat!  

We put the GoPro camera in the water to try to find some herring that I've been seeing most days here, to no avail.  I did capture some nice shots of some sand lance that will certainly show up in some future artwork.  

While I was looking at videos captured on my laptop in my room here at BBARS, our friend P was discovered walking by right outside my window- we ran out to greet him and R, who came to surprise us!  We ended up hiking the Approach to Gros Morne trail together, and then all heading off to The Black Spruce restaurant (quite a treat!) for supper with more friends, M & A, to top off another wonderful day.  I'm feeling pretty loved up in the friendship department!

Tomorrow, I've got to double down on studio work that I want to complete before my time is up here at BBARS!  My head is tight full of ideas and imagery for new works.
