Starting the day with a great big coffee, I managed to finish (I think) a wee herring painting, and transfer my lobster claw drawing to a lino-plate. I like to paint the image on in acrylic paint so that the image doesn't smudge while I'm carving it, as it would do with pencil, ink, or transfer paper alone. I use just black and white paint, as the carved marks I make in the lino will also be without much sense of gradient.
And then Tanja & I, along with our Chauffeur, headed off to Corner Brook to participate in the three art events on offer today as part of the Saltbox Contemporary Arts Festival.
We arrived back at BBARS a bit before midnight, and I'm ready to hit the sack to get ready for another great art filled day tomorrow! Goodnight!
