The second in a series of works exploring the idea of looking beyond the surface. While it appears to be an abstracted image, it is actually a fairly accurate dipiction copied from a photograph taken underwater at the seashore of Ship Island (off Greenspond), with light shining through the sea ice that had gathered there over the winter.
As cold and dark as winter days can feel sometimes, there is light and glitter to greet us if we look up and keep building on our hopes and dreams. That's what this piece means to me.
