Happy Thanksgiving!

Our little family of four took a couple of nights off from work and studies to chill out at a new retreat nearby at Back Country Cottages.  We booked a cabin for all of us, and added on a murder mystery event package.  The cabin was comfortable and had everything we could want including hotel quality bedding and toiletries, washroom with shower, and a kitchen full of all the essential gear to make our own meals.  Firewood for the woodstove too!  The site is in the middle of the woods on the edge of a lake, accessed by old woods roads, off-grid, and so peaceful!  The fall colours are gorgeous right now, in amongst the trees.  The murder mystery game was a lot of fun, and we all dressed up for the characters we played.  Duke's character's purple hair and long eyelashes were unforgettable!  I didn't want to leave.  A great way to enjoy cabin life without making the commitment to owning a cabin of our own.
